Countdown element (Timer)
Countdown element (Timer)
Updated this week

The countdown element serves as a dynamic feature to showcase the remaining time for specific events, such as flash sales, promotions, or limited-time deals, directly on your store's website. By creating a sense of urgency, it encourages customers to make quicker purchasing decisions before the offer expires. This tool can be especially useful in driving conversions during special events like seasonal sales, holiday promotions, or exclusive product launches, helping to boost customer engagement and overall sales.

Getting started with the countdown element

To implement a countdown element into your page, navigate to the Insert panel > Element > Interactive > Countdown. Place the countdown element onto the canvas where you want to present this element.

Changing the Countdown settings

Select the Countdown element on your canvas, now the Countdown settings should be visible within the Right sidebar. Click on End time to open the options panel.

Countdown options

We offer a range of option to fully customize your countdown timer. The following two countdown types are supported.

End date

You can select between Due date and Time as types. Due date is used to have a countdown running until a selected date & time. Most suitable for longer countdown cycles.

When the End date option is selected, a date picker and time picker will appear to define the end date for your countdown. Additionally you can define the time zone.

Time

By utilizing Time, it is a simple countdown timer that counts back based on the selected hours and minutes.

Additionally you can define if you want the countdown to reset when a page is reloaded.

Styling the Countdown timer

All layers of the countdown can be fully styled by selecting each layer within the countdown container.

Additionally it is possible to re-arrange or delete layers within the countdown timer. For example if you have only a countdown running for 8 hours, it does not make sense to also show the Days layer, you can remove the whole container that contains all the Days elements in that case.
