By default, variant selectors match variants by their name. You can change this to match by position instead.
When to Use Position Matching
This setting is relevant when the position of your variants differs between products.
Example
Product A | Product B |
Option 1: Size | Option 1: Color |
Option 2: Color | Option 2: Size |
With name matching (default), the selector looks for a specific name like "Size" or "Color".
With position matching, the selector uses the Shopify order (Option 1, Option 2) regardless of name.
How to Enable
Navigate to Project Settings
Select the Shopify tab
Scroll to the bottom of the panel
Enable "Match variants by their Shopify order instead of name"
Quick Reference
