Alongside Web fonts (Google Fonts) and Shopify theme fonts, you can add your own custom fonts and use them anywhere the Font picker appears.
Upload a custom font
Custom fonts are managed in your project settings:
Go to Settings → Fonts.
Click Upload font.
In the Upload custom fonts dialog, click Choose fonts or drag files onto the dropzone.
Supported formats are TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2. You can upload up to 10 files at once.
Alternatively, click Link an external font to add a font by URL (fonts hosted on the Shopify CDN work well).
Apply a custom font
After uploading, select a text element and open the Font control in the Text section of the Design panel's Style tab. Uploaded fonts appear under Custom fonts at the top of the picker. Select one to apply it to the current element.
The picker's search box filters every section — Custom fonts, Shopify fonts, and Web fonts — at once, and the All / Used toggle lets you narrow the list to fonts already used on the page.
Weights
Weight options depend on the files you uploaded. If you upload a single weight, the weight control shows only that option — upload additional weight files to get more.
Shopify theme fonts
When Shopify is connected, your theme fonts appear under Shopify fonts in the picker without any upload. These are useful when your Instant pages should match your theme's typography. Import styles in Brand styles can also pull text styles from your theme.
Reuse fonts across a project
To reuse a font across headings or labels, set it on a Text styles preset in Brand styles. Elements linked to that preset pick up the font automatically.
Licensing
Make sure you have the rights to use uploaded fonts on your public storefront.
