Page analytics shows how each layout performs. Open Overview → Analytics → Pages to compare pages, product templates, collection templates, and blog posts.
Compare layouts
The Pages table shows:
Metric | What it means |
Visitors | Unique visitors who viewed the layout |
Views | Total times the layout was viewed |
Conversion | Percentage of visitors who completed a purchase |
Attr. Revenue | Revenue from orders placed by shoppers who viewed the layout |
Published | When the layout was last published, or Unpublished |
Search by layout name, sort any column, or filter the table with All, Pages, Products, and Collections.
Open a layout report
Select a row to open its report. You can also open the layout's ⋯ menu in Layouts & layers and choose View analytics. This action is available after the layout has been published to a connected Shopify store.
The report includes six metrics:
Visitors — unique visitors who viewed the layout
Views — total views, including repeat views
Conversion rate — percentage of visitors who viewed the layout and completed a purchase
Click-through rate — percentage of visitors who clicked through to another page
Orders — completed purchases by shoppers who viewed the layout
Attributed revenue — revenue from those orders
Select a metric to update the trend chart. Use the date range, comparison, and Show interval controls to change the reporting period.
For product and collection templates, use the selector beside the date range to view all assigned products or collections together, or choose one.
Understand the report
Below the chart, the report shows:
Pages — compare revenue and conversion across layouts
Devices — switch between Devices, OS, and Browsers
Locations — switch between Countries and Regions
Sources — see which referrers sent visitors to the layout
Page conversion funnel — follow visitors from Viewed page through Added to cart, Checkout reached, and Checkout completed
The report also includes a Heatmaps banner. Clicking View in builder on that banner opens the layout in the builder with the heatmap overlay (Pro and up). The report itself does not show clicks or scroll depth.
You can also open a heatmap from the layout's ⋯ menu in Layouts & layers with Toggle heatmap. See Click and scroll heatmaps.
Use Open in canvas to return to the layout in the builder without opening a heatmap.
When data is missing
Publish the layout to your connected Shopify store before expecting live data.
Test on the live storefront rather than only in builder preview.
Check the tracking coverage under the selected metric. Every metric in this report is built from shoppers who allowed analytics, so the report covers fewer shoppers when consent is lower.
Review your customer privacy and cookie banner settings in Shopify. They decide when Shopify allows analytics tracking to run.
Expect some shoppers to decline analytics cookies or to block them with privacy tools and ad blockers.
Clear table filters if No results found appears.
Allow a short delay for new visits and purchases to appear.
Low coverage doesn't mean tracking is broken. It means the report describes the shoppers whose privacy choices allowed those events to be recorded. See How tracking works.
For site-wide totals, see Analytics overview. For details about attribution and event collection, see How tracking works.
