Building with the Agent is the recommended way to create a new layout. Choose Build from scratch only when you specifically want to assemble a layout by dragging and dropping individual elements.
This article applies only to layouts created with Build from scratch. Insert is not available in layouts built with the Agent.
Start from scratch
Open Layouts & layers.
Select +.
Choose the type of layout you want to create.
Select Build from scratch.
Open Insert.
Drag an element onto the blank canvas.
Continue dragging containers, grids, text, images, buttons, and other elements from Insert. Use Layouts & layers to select and organize them. Select an element on the canvas to change its available controls in the Design panel.
