If you're the owner of a site but would like someone else to become owner, you can transfer ownership to them. This guide explains how to transfer site ownership and what to consider before doing so.

Ownership transfer is a permanent action that gives full control of your site to another member.
Important Considerations

Single owner | A site can only have one owner |
Your role changes | You will no longer be owner after transfer |
Cannot be undone | The new owner must transfer ownership back to reverse |
Admin requirement | Sites can only be transferred to existing Admins |
Warning: Ownership changes cannot be undone. The new owner will have to transfer ownership back to you if you want to reverse the change.

Requirements
Before transferring ownership, ensure:
You are the current owner
The recipient is already an Admin on the site
Steps
On your Instant dashboard, click the three dots icon for the site you want to transfer
Select Site settings
On the left, select Members
Click an admin's current role
Select Owner from the dropdown
Read the warning carefully
Type your site's slug in the Site slug field to confirm
Click the Transfer ownership button
