The Layouts panel in Instant provides centralized management for all your page layouts and templates. This guide covers navigating the panel, creating new layouts, and managing existing ones.
Accessing the Layouts Panel
Open the Instant Builder
In the left sidebar, click on the Layouts tab
Panel Overview
Search
At the top of the panel, use the search box to quickly find layouts by name.
Layout Categories
Layouts are organized into the following categories:
Category | Description |
Pages | Standalone pages (landing pages, about pages, etc.) |
Product Templates | Templates for product detail pages |
Collection Templates | Templates for collection/category pages |
Sections | Reusable section components |
Navigations | Header, footer, and menu layouts |
Cards | Card components (cart drawers, mini carts, etc.) |
Blog Posts | Blog post templates |
Creating New Layouts
Next to each category header, click the plus icon (+) to create a new layout.
Creation Options
Depending on the category, you'll have different creation options:
Pages
Option | Description |
Template Library | Start from a pre-made template |
Empty | Build from scratch with a blank canvas |
Instant AI | Generate a new page using Instant AI |
Product Templates

Accessing Layout Options
Hover over the layout you want to manage
Click the more options button (three dots)
Select an action from the dropdown
Available Actions
Action | Description |
Page Settings | Configure layout settings |
Duplicate | Create a copy of the layout |
Remove | Delete the layout |
A/B Test | Start a new A/B test (Pro plan, Pages and Product Templates only) |
A/B Testing
Note: A/B testing is available on the Pro plan and higher.
A/B testing allows you to measure the performance of different layout variations against each other. This feature is available for:

To start an A/B test:
Hover over the layout
Click more options
Select Start A/B Test
