Step 1: Start a New Product Page Template
Create the Template
Open Instant and go to the Layouts section
Click the plus icon (+) to create a new layout
Choose Start with a template
Browse the Template Library and select a layout that fits your needs
Recommended Template Features
Look for templates that include:
Buy box with product variants
Image gallery
Unique selling points (USPs)
Customer testimonials
Related products section
These elements provide a strong foundation for product pages that convert.
Step 2: Customize the Template
Preview with Your Products
The template loads with a placeholder product so you can preview the layout
To preview with your own Shopify products, click Preview and select a product

Step 3: Publish the Template
Once you're happy with the design, click Publish
This pushes the product page template directly to your Shopify theme
Step 4: Assign the Template to Products
Select Products
In the Layouts section, select the template you just published
Open Template Settings
Choose the Shopify products you want to apply this template to
Click Assign to confirm
Once assigned, the template goes live on your Shopify store for those specific products.
Step 5: Set as Default Template (Optional)
Make your template the default for all products that don't have a specific template assigned.
How to Set as Default
Navigate to Template Settings through the Layouts panel
Go to the General tab
Under Set as default template, click Set as default template
All products without a specific template assignment will now use this template.
