Creating high-converting product pages for your Shopify store is easier than ever with Instant. Follow the steps below to build beautiful, fully functional product page templates that are tailored to your products and brand.
Step 1: Start a New Product Page Template
Open Instant and go to the Layout section.
Click the plus icon (+) to create a new layout.
Choose “Start with a template.”
Browse the Template Library and select a layout that fits your needs. For this guide, we’ll choose a template that includes:
A buy box with product variants
An image gallery
Unique selling points (USPs)
Customer testimonials
Related products section
This template gives you a strong foundation to create stunning product pages that convert.
Step 2: Customize the Template
The page will load with a placeholder product (e.g., a picture frame) so you can preview the layout.
To preview with one of your own Shopify products, click Preview and select the desired product (e.g., Protein Bars).
You can:
Replace images and text
Delete existing sections
Add new sections from the Template Library
Build custom sections from scratch
You have full design flexibility—customize every detail to match your brand.
Step 3: Publish the Template
Once you're happy with the design, click Publish.
This action pushes the product page template directly to your Shopify theme.
Step 4: Assign the Template to Products
In the Layouts section of Instant, select the template you just published.
Under Template Settings, choose the Shopify products you want to apply this template to.
Example: Assign it to "Gummy Six Pack" and "Protein Bar."
Click Assign to confirm.
Once the template is assigned, it will go live on your Shopify store for those specific products.
Optional - Step 5: Set as your default Template
To set your page as your default product template, navigate to template settings through the layout panel. Then on the General tab under Set as default template, click on the Set as default template to proceed.
You can repeat this process to create different product page templates for various product types or promotions. Instant makes it easy to scale your design efforts without touching any code.
