Instant Builder leverages artificial intelligence throughout the page-building experience to help you create professional Shopify pages faster. This guide covers all AI-powered features available in the platform.
AI Page Generation
Generate complete, customized pages from a simple text prompt.
How It Works
Enter your prompt — From the Instant Builder overview, locate the prompt box at the top of the screen. Describe the page you want to create (e.g., "a sneaker product page" or "a summer sale landing page").
Answer follow-up questions — After submitting your prompt, you'll be transported to the canvas with the AI panel open. The AI will ask clarifying questions, such as which specific product from your Shopify store should be featured on the page.

Customize your theme — Once generation completes, use the right sidebar to refine your page's appearance:
Color Theme — Select from pre-built color palettes
Typography — Choose fonts for headings and body text
Neutrals — Adjust your grayscale values
Primary & Secondary Colors — Fine-tune your brand colors
Border Radius — Control the roundness of buttons, cards, and other elements
Randomize — Generate new theme variations with one click
Tip: Connect your Shopify store before generating pages. The AI will automatically pull in your product images to create a cohesive design.
Section Management
After your page is generated, you have full control over individual sections.
Replacing Sections
Select any section on your page, then click the Replace button in the top-left corner of the selected section. A panel will open on the right with suggested alternative sections. Choose a new section type, and the AI will generate fresh content for that position.
Changing Section Backgrounds
Click the paint bucket icon next to the Replace button. A dropdown will appear with background color options that complement your current theme.
Deleting Sections
Click the trash can icon to remove the selected section from your page.
Adding New Sections
When a section is selected, look for the Add Section button at the bottom of the selection. Clicking this opens the right-side panel with suggested sections you can add to your page. Select any option to have the AI generate and insert a new section.
Save and Continue
Once you're satisfied with your AI-generated page, click the Save and Go to Builder button. This saves your work and transitions you to the full builder interface where you can make additional manual adjustments.

Select a text layer (such as a header or paragraph)
Look for the options that appear in the top-left corner of the selected layer

How to Generate Alt Text
Open the Assets panel
Hover over any image asset
Click the more options button (three dots) in the top-right corner of the asset
Select Asset Details

Auto Connect to Shopify
Automatically link your page content to Shopify data fields using AI analysis.
When to Use
This feature is ideal when you've created a page layout in Instant but haven't yet connected the content elements (titles, images, prices, etc.) to your Shopify product data.
How It Works
Ensure you have Shopify content added or the Shopify panel accessible
Open the Shopify panel in the left sidebar
Look for the Auto Connect button in the bottom-left corner of the panel
Click Auto Connect
The AI will analyze your page layout and automatically map your design elements to the appropriate Shopify fields:
Product titles → Title fields
Product images → Image fields
Prices → Price fields
Descriptions → Description fields
This eliminates the need to manually connect each element, saving significant time when building product pages and collections.
Requirements
For the best experience with AI features:
Shopify Connection — Connect your Shopify store to enable product-aware page generation and auto-connect functionality
Product Data — Ensure your products have images, titles, and descriptions populated in Shopify
Assets — Upload images to the Assets panel before generating alt text
