With Instant, any page you've created can be set as your homepage. This page replaces your theme's default homepage but can be restored at any time.
Overview
You have two options for creating a custom homepage:

Build with sections | Any plan (including Free) | Add Instant sections to your theme's homepage |
Building with sections is the default method for Shopify 2.0 and has no additional restrictions.
Setting a Page as Your Homepage
Replace your theme's default homepage with an Instant page.

How to Set as Homepage
Navigate to Page Settings through the Layouts panel
Go to the General tab
Under Set as homepage, click Set as home
Your Instant page now replaces your theme's default homepage.
Restoring Your Original Homepage
If you want to revert to your theme's original homepage, you can restore it at any time.
How to Restore
Navigate to the Page Settings of your current homepage in Instant
Click the Restore original home link
Your theme's original homepage is now restored.
Alternative: Build Homepage with Sections
If you're on the Free plan or prefer the Shopify 2.0 approach, you can build a custom homepage using Instant sections.

Create and publish sections in Instant
Open the Shopify theme editor
Navigate to your homepage
Click Add section and select your Instant sections
