Cart rewards

Show progress toward spend thresholds with the Cart reward and Multi reward elements, tiers, and preview states.

Cart rewards show shoppers how close they are to a spend threshold — free shipping at one amount, a gift at another. Instant provides two presets in Insert → Shopify → Cart:

  • Cart reward — a single reward tier with a progress bar.

  • Multi reward — multiple tiers sharing one progress bar.

Insert either into your Cart layout, typically between the line items and the Footer.

Cart reward (single tier)

Cart reward shows progress toward one threshold. The default message reads Shop $X more for [reward] and switches to You've unlocked all rewards! once the threshold is met.

Select the element and open the Cart reward settings in the Design panel to set:

  • Based on — measure progress against the cart Subtotal or Total.

  • Market — set a different threshold per Shopify market (optional).

  • Amount — the spend threshold that unlocks the reward.

The message and success wording live on the element's Text layers, which you edit directly; the amount-remaining and reward-name values are dynamic.

Multi reward

Multi reward stacks several tiers on one progress bar — for example free shipping, then a discount. Its settings add a Rewards list where each tier has a Name, Icon, Markets, and Amount. Use Add reward to add a tier; tiers sort automatically by threshold. The tier markers render with Repeat on → Cart reward tiers, so editing one marker updates them all.

Rewards are display only

Reward elements only display progress. They do not create the discount or free shipping themselves — set those up in Shopify. Instant shows an Additional setup required note in the reward settings with a link to the setup steps.

Preview reward states

Use the Cart section's Preview controls in the Design panel to check each state without leaving the builder:

  • Switch between Filled and Empty.

  • Set the number of Products.

  • For a reward, choose which tier or progress amount to preview (a percentage for a single reward, or the tier for a multi reward).

Conditional visibility

The presets already swap between the progress state and the success state using built-in reward conditions. To hide the whole reward block on an empty cart, add a Conditional visibility rule on cart count. See Conditional visibility.
