Instant connects to several popular Shopify apps so you can place their widgets on your storefront without writing code. Each app has a dedicated preset in Insert, and you pick the widget type and app in the Design panel.
Insert an app widget
Open Insert in the left sidebar and switch to Elements.
Go to Advanced → Apps and choose a provider.
Drag it onto the canvas, or click to insert.
Instant supports these apps, each with a default widget:
App | Type |
Judge.me | Reviews |
Stamped | Reviews |
Yotpo | Reviews |
Loox | Reviews |
Okendo | Reviews |
Klaviyo | Forms |
Omnisend | Forms |
Kaching Bundles | Bundles |
Subscription apps work natively
Subscription apps are different — you don't embed them here. Instant supports subscriptions natively through Shopify selling plans: add the Selling plan element or assign a Select selling plan action to a button or text element. This works with Shopify Subscriptions and virtually any subscription app that creates selling plan groups on your products — including popular apps like Recharge, Loop, Skio, and Appstle — with no app embed required. See Selling plans and subscriptions.
Configure the widget
Select the widget in Layouts & layers and open the App embed section in the Design panel:
App — click Choose app... to pick the provider. Instant lists apps as Installed or Available based on your connected store.
Widget — shown when a provider offers more than one widget type. Judge.me offers Rating Widget, Rating Carousel, Review Widget, Verified Reviews Badge, and Reviews Text; the other apps ship a single widget type.
Form ID — for Klaviyo and Omnisend forms, enter the form identifier from the app's dashboard.
The app embed needs a connected Shopify store. See Connect your Shopify store.
Connection and product context
If the app isn't installed and embedded, the section shows a No connection message: Make sure to install the app from the Shopify app store and embed the main app code in your active theme, with an Open in Shopify link. Install and embed the app, then reopen the widget.
Rating and Review widgets need product context to show the right reviews. Place them on product page templates or in product sections — otherwise Instant shows Connect a product in order to use the rating element.
If your store is password-protected, the section shows Store password required (App integrations require your store password to be configured). Click Configure to add it under Settings → Shopify. See Password-protected stores.
Styling
App widgets support Instant's standard position, spacing, size, and conditional-visibility controls. You can't edit the widget's internal markup — styling happens through the app's own settings plus the container you wrap it in.
Tips
Install and embed the app in Shopify before inserting the widget to avoid No connection errors while designing.
Rename widgets in Layouts & layers (for example, "Judge.me — product rating") when a page has several app embeds.
Test on a published product page with real reviews or form submissions, not just the builder preview.
