The Agent builds directly on the visual canvas. The canvas is where your layout lives: use it to review the result, select the part you want to change, make focused edits, and check the experience before publishing.
Build and review in one place
Give the Agent a prompt or visual reference, then watch the layout take shape on the canvas. After each build or edit:
Review the complete result on the canvas.
Switch between desktop and mobile to check how the layout adapts.
Select the section or content you want to refine.
Make a direct change or ask the Agent to update the selection.
Enter Preview to test the result as a shopper.
Select what you want to change
Click part of the layout on the canvas to select it. Your selection gives the Agent context and determines what appears in the Design panel on the right.
Use the selection to control the scope of your next action:
Select text, an image, a link, or another part for a precise change.
Select a larger section when you want the Agent to revise that section.
Clear the selection before asking for a layout-wide change.
Edit directly on the canvas
You can edit supported text directly on the canvas. Selecting other content opens relevant actions and controls: for example, you can replace an image, send it to Studio, edit a link, or adjust the selected part in the Design panel.
Some text and content come from Shopify or are generated dynamically. When content cannot be changed directly, ask the Agent to update it.
Ask the Agent about a selection
Select part of the layout and choose Ask AI to start a focused request. The selection and current screen size are included as context, so you can ask for changes such as:
"Make this section more compact."
"Shorten this heading."
"Improve the mobile layout here."
"Replace this image with a product-focused visual."
For a broader change, open the Agent in the left sidebar and describe what you want to change across the layout.
Check different screen sizes
The viewport controls above the canvas let you review and edit at desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile sizes. Switch to the screen size you want to adjust before changing responsive values in the Design panel or asking the Agent for a screen-specific update.
Zoom only changes how large the canvas appears on your screen. It does not change the layout's screen size.
Preview before publishing
Turn on Preview to use links, buttons, forms, and other interactive content as a shopper would. Check the complete journey at more than one screen size before publishing.
