Building is only half the job. Edit with AI lets you improve pages you already have — yours, a teammate's, or a template you started from — without manual pixel-pushing. The Agent understands what is on the canvas and applies targeted edits from natural-language instructions.
Open the right context
Edits land on whatever you are working on in the builder:
Whole page — ask for global changes (tone, spacing rhythm, section order) with nothing selected.
Selected section or element — select it on the canvas first, then use its Ask AI option or the Agent for a precise, local change (headline, button label, image treatment).
If nothing is selected, the Agent interprets your request at the page level.
Types of edits you can request
Copy and content
Shorten or expand text
Change voice (formal to friendly, technical to plain language)
Fix awkward placeholder text left from a template
Layout and structure
Reorder sections
Convert a single column to two columns on desktop
Add or remove a row (features, logos, FAQ)
Collapse redundant blocks
Visual styling
Increase vertical spacing
Emphasize the primary call to action
Align imagery and text for better scanability
Improve mobile stacking
Fixes and cleanup
"This section feels crowded on mobile — simplify"
"Match button styles across the page"
"Remove the duplicate heading"
The Agent applies its edits to the layout. You can Undo the last action or Revert to an earlier point in the chat, and you can chain follow-ups in the same conversation so each change builds on the last.
Iteration workflow
Note what works so you don't undo it by accident.
One intent per message when possible. "Rewrite the hero headline and make the CTA orange" is fine; ten unrelated tweaks in one message are harder to review.
Review on mobile after each meaningful change.
Step back when needed — use Undo or Revert from the chat, or the builder's version history, to roll back changes.
Edit vs rebuild
Sometimes editing is slower than rebuilding a section. If a block is far from what you need, ask the Agent to replace it: "Remove this testimonial carousel and add a static quote with a customer photo instead."
Credits
Each Agent task consumes AI credits from your monthly plan allowance. Light copy tweaks typically use less than full section rebuilds. Allowances differ on Starter, Pro, and Business; see AI credits.
If you run out of credits, the Agent pauses until your balance refreshes, or you buy more credits or upgrade.
When to edit manually
Instant AI is fast for content and layout direction. Switch to manual controls when you need:
Pixel-perfect alignment to brand guidelines
Custom Liquid logic (the Liquid code block is available on Starter and up)
Fine-grained responsive breakpoints
You can mix approaches: the Agent for the bulk, manual passes for polish.
After editing
Re-preview the full customer journey — especially links, forms, and cart paths if you publish a cart drawer (Pro and up). When you are satisfied, publish your updates to Shopify, and track Attributed revenue in Analytics to see whether the edits moved the needle.
