Instant saves your work as you go — there's no separate Save button. Understanding autosave, undo, and sync status helps you edit confidently, including when you collaborate with teammates or briefly lose connection.

Every change you make on the canvas — moving an element, editing text, updating styles — is saved automatically to your project. Edits sync in real time across your team and persist when you close the browser.

If you press Ctrl+S / Cmd+S out of habit, Instant shows a brief message: Changes are saved automatically. There's nothing extra to save.

Undo and redo work like other design tools:

Undo steps back through your recent actions — moves, deletes, style changes, insertions, and more. Redo restores anything you undid. Both header buttons are disabled when there's nothing left to undo or redo.

You can also open the command palette (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) and choose Undo or Redo under the Canvas group.

When Instant AI edits your page from the Agent panel, an Undo action appears on its latest message. Use it to revert the change if the result isn't what you wanted — it restores a backup of the page from before that Agent action.

Most of the time, saving happens silently. When the connection is interrupted, Instant shows a status icon in the header:

If your internet drops, you can keep editing. Instant holds your changes locally and merges them when you reconnect. Avoid closing the browser tab before syncing completes if you've made substantial changes while offline.

For rollback beyond undo, click the gear icon next to the layout name in the top header to open the layout's settings, then go to the History tab. It lists saved snapshots you can restore with Restore version — useful for recovering work from an earlier session or before a major redesign. How far back your history goes depends on your plan (Settings → Plans).

Undo is for recent step-by-step changes; History is for restoring a layout to an earlier point in time.
