The Agent is the recommended way to build new layouts in Instant. Describe what you want, attach a screenshot, share a website link, or import a Figma design. The Agent builds the result on the visual canvas, where you can review and adjust it directly.
Build on the canvas
Open the Agent from the left sidebar. It works with the layout you have open, what you have selected, and the screen size you are viewing.
The Agent builds directly on the visual canvas. The canvas is where your layout lives and where you review, select, edit, and preview the result:
Give the Agent a prompt or visual reference.
Watch it build or edit the layout on the canvas.
Click part of the layout to select it.
Edit supported text directly, choose Ask AI for a focused request, or use the Design panel for precise visual changes.
Switch screen sizes and use Preview to check the result.
Return to the Agent for larger changes or a different direction.
After a change, you can Undo the last action or Revert to an earlier point in the chat.

Ways to start
Choose the input that best communicates what you want:
Direct prompt — Explain the layout, goal, content, and look in your own words.
Screenshot — Select Attach image in the Agent composer and add a visual reference.
Website — Select Use website link, or include a URL in your prompt, to show the Agent a page that should inspire the layout.
Figma — Select Import From Figma to prepare a selected frame for the Agent.
Your brand kit shapes the result
Your brand kit gives the Agent reusable guidance about your colors, typography, spacing, components, and brand do's and don'ts. Once set up, it is applied by default when the Agent builds and edits.
Set up your kit before an important build, then confirm Apply brand kit is on in Prompt settings → Brand Kit. See Set up a brand kit.

Layouts built with the Agent and layouts created with Build from scratch cannot be combined in the same layout. Both use the visual canvas, but their Design panel controls differ.
Instant AI and Studio
The Agent builds and edits layouts.
Studio generates product and lifestyle images.

Plan availability
Instant AI is included on paid plans. Starter, Pro, and Business each include a monthly pool of AI credits that resets at the start of each month. Free does not include monthly AI credits. Your remaining balance is shown in Overview → Plan. See Compare plans.

Open the Agent from the left sidebar.
Describe the outcome you want — structure, content, or styling.
Review the result, refine with follow-up messages, and Undo or Revert if you want to step back.
